La Tuilerie, 71460 Cormatin, South Burgundy (Saône-et-Loire 71), Tel: 00 33 385 50 19 55
The “camping à la ferme” at La Tuilerie offers a generous amount of space for only 6 tents – no caravans or campervans. The campsite is situated in a field that has a
forest on one side and is bordered by fields on the other sides. The campsite is open from the middle of May until the end of September, depending on the
weather. Whilst there is no electricity on the site itself, in the toilet block
(which used to be the old drying sheds for the tile factory) there are a fridge and a freezer for general use. There are also sockets to enable you to load up you mobile
phone, camera etc. These sockets are not to be used for plugging in electric cooking plates or for running private fridges!
All our guests come for the peace and quiet we offer here, so to preserve this, we have strict rules about noise at night and radios and TVs are not allowed at any time on
the campsite, dogs are also not allowed. Caravans and camper vans of any size cannot be accommodated on the site.
Tariffs (2010) include tourist tax (taxe de séjour).
Tent: 7.00 euros per night irrespective of size.
Person: 3.00 euros per night irrespective of age.
It is possible to make a reservation and in the high season this is recommended to avoid disappointment. For a stay of one or two nights full payment is required in
advance and for a stay of 3 nights or longer 50% of the full price is required for a confirmed booking. If you would like to make a reservation please
contact us. If
you are travelling early or late in the season, we recommend that you contact us beforehand to make sure the campsite is open as heavy rain in these periods can cause
us to shut for a few days.
Whilst peace and quiet are the key words here, you are very near to restaurants and shops so you are not cut off from the world! If you don’t want to drive everywhere,
why not bring your bike or you could rent bicycles in Cormatin. With the Voie Verte so close it is very tempting to just get out there and walk or cycle on the flat to
the many local villages. Both Cormatin and Taizé are well within walking distance and can be reached almost totally along paths through the countryside hardly having to
walk on a road.
